Kim has directed B-roll footage from a helicopter, worked with an Academy Award winning cinematographer and counts focus groups among the most depressing events she’s ever witnessed. (She currently makes her living in service to the advertising gods).

But Kim also writes things that aren’t ads like features, TV series and shorts. Her scripts have been shortlisted in competition and she recently produced a short that turned out to be her first official “official selection”.

She tends to write strong, grounded often sharp characters on a journey of self-discovery. Humans searching for their place in the world and what they believe in are deftly explored; moments of levity will vary.

Kim also enjoys crafting narratives that tackle the big socio-political themes of greed, power and corruption. She blames her interest in these complex subjects on her former constitutional law professor. Thanks a lot Dr. McKercher.
